Inked High Vis Tool
A Respektive interpretation of an iconic tool watch. The High visibility of the bright orange makes reading it instantaneous. This is an merger of old and new technology.
The movement is a manual wind Unitas 6498-1 that came from a hunter style pocket watch from the 1960's. This is the original, slower beating model. Restored to good running order at Respektive, this one is keeping great time, well within 1 minute per day. The gold tone has a texture on the bridges that catch the light. The lazy sounding 18,000 beats per hour is mesmerizing to listen to.
The 45mm square case is stainless steel with a black PVD coating that is resistant to scratching. The crystal is domed scratch resistant mineral glass with a transparent case back. The square shape has an art deco vibe to it. The crown is screw down and grooved for easy time setting and winding. The wire lugs are reminiscent of the early days of wristwatches when wire lugs were soldered to pocket watches.
The dial is computer designed, printed, laminated and lacquered. This process has an imperfect rugged look with hints of decay yet the colors are vibrant and crisp.
The strap is brown leather with white stitching that is incredibly soft and comfortable. The colors are a little inconsistent and weathered looking.
