Construction Sears in Bronze
I am always looking for vintage movements for Respektiv pieces. The Unitas 6498 was commonly used in hunter style pocket watches. Many of these pocketwatches have been scrapped for the valuable metals in their cases. This leaves orphaned movements. These movements make excellent wristwatches. Sometimes, those movements retain their original dials and hands and sometimes, those dials and movements are just too cool to let go un-used.
This oddity was sold by Sears and the dial happened to be just the right size to case up in this bronze coated stainless steel case. The movement has been serviced and adjusted by Respektiv to keep time well withing 1 minute per day.
The strap is a waxed leather that constantly changes color based on its wear.
At any given time, there are several vintage dials and movements available that would make an interesting piece like this one.
As always with Respektiv, you can change anything about this piece. Different hands, dials, cases, movements or straps can be customized to your taste. Click the Contact Respektiv button to the left of the screen and lets design and build something together.
